Some parts of a painting project seem easier than others. Windows, corners and trim are a few areas that require a little more patience. Yet even hard-to-mask areas can be prepped quickly and easily with great results.

Trim, architraves, windows and doors need wider tape to cover the whole surface or wrap around corners. 3M recommends 1-1/2” wide or wider.
The poly or crepe backing allows it to stretch a little, so it conforms well to curves.
ScotchBlue™ PLATINUM Painter's Tape is great for corners, as it tears at 90 degrees. Simply press the tape into the corner, overlapping the corner seams and smooth down to adhere.
For long stretches of trim, you can speed up the job by using a Scotch-Blue™ Painter’s Tape Applicator. It’s designed to apply tape flush against trim quickly and easily.
